Union University Textbook Buyback Spring 2010
Look out, Jackson, Tennessee. BookFool.com is coming your way. Are you ready for a second opinion on your used book prices? You may be surprised how much your books are really worth!
We’ve heard your cries.
Every semester we speak with thousands of students about their textbook needs. We ask how their bookstore is treating them, how their off-campus bookstore treats them (if they have one), and whether they’re happy with their textbook options.
In our experience, students are unhappy with their textbook options at 98% of the schools we visit. The happy 2% attend a school that really pays attention to their textbooks needs and fights to get them great prices when they buy and sell. If students are happy, we simply move on to where we’re needed more.
Well, Union, your fellow students told us they’re not happy with their textbook options. So we’re coming to town!

The Spot Restaurant in Cleveland TN
Our buyback location in Cleveland, Tennessee is The Spot Restaurant, home of incredible burgers, homemade shakes and frostys, chili, hot dogs, coffee, and more!
I had the burger, which was hot off the grill and hit the … well … spot. I haven’t had a shake yet, but I hear they’re good enough to make you want to move to Cleveland so you can have ‘em every day.
The Spot buyback serves students from Lee University, Cleveland State Community College, and other area campuses. See the details on our LOCATIONS page.
Here are a few pics from my visit. If you haven’t been to The Spot, what are you waiting for?! They also now serve breakfast.

Looking for Carpet or Flooring in Nashville?
[Ed. note: Here at BookFool.com, we like to highlight local small businesses that do a good job. This is not a paid endorsement. We just like them and like their work.]
When my wife and I went looking for new carpet for our upstairs, we started our search at the big box stores. The lowest price we could find was $3000 + various fees, and the carpet at that price was not soft.
My wife also wanted to try a place called The Carpet Showcase in Hendersonville. Long story short, this was a great decision. Wayne & Pat Morris did a fine job for us.
Pat showed us plenty of samples in our price range and answered our questions. More importantly, she knew their inventory so well that she was able to make a recommendation that balanced price, quality, softness, and type of warranty.
Wayne accommodated our compressed schedule and was able to come out on the same day to measure for a quote. The installer Jeff was prompt, courteous, and did the job right the first time. Then Wayne called me after the job to thank me for my business. He said that he stands by his work and that I should call him if I ever have a problem with it. How often do you get a call like that?
Bottom Line: We received outstanding personal service, a quality product, and a full warranty … all for under $2300! Thanks, Wayne and Pat!
Cheap Nashville Lunch: China Village
If you’re looking for a quick, cheap lunch and enjoy the entire spectrum of Americanized Chinese food, have we got the place for you: China Village Chinese Restaurant just off Dickerson. (See map below.)
For $3.50, you get a generous helping of meat and rice. Add an egg roll and a beverage and you’re getting stuffed for around 5 bucks. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but the food is hot and freshly prepared when you order. Give it a try!
